This one looks like the most recent version of my previous one. Good points: It does what I need it to do; which is to remove humidity from my bedroom at speed so that I don't have to have it on all the time, which frankly would drive me nuts as I need quiet to sleep. You can choose how powerful it works by either going with Auto, Normal or High. Most days 2 hours of High takes my room below 50%rh of humidity which is enough to stay clean of mould.( Mould grows at around 68%rh. It is preferred to keep the room around 50%rh,. Of course the damp and humidity levels will vary depending on where you live. I live in the wetter southwest near a river so the humidity tends to be very high. On drier days using the dehumidifier, the humidity will go down to 40%rh very quickly,... In a Nutshell thisd unit is superb, it is powerful enough for a larger than normal 3 bedroom house, and has totally cleared up severe condensation and some damp areas of the house (detached older property). The laundry turbo function is amazing, leaving totally dry clothes and towels in a matter of hours.The unit is quiet enough when in silent mode and does not disturb at night, the little blue light is nice and leaves a nightlight in the corridor at night for the kids. The warm air it emits keeps the upstairs pleasant even when the heating is off. We haven't had the chance to use it to its maximum potential yet as the mild Autumn weather hasn't created any noticable build up of condensation. However it extracted around one litre of water from a room in which we were drying washing in just a few hours so we feel sure it's going to be a worthwhile buy in keeping the flat dry and condensation free during the winter and a bonus in drying the washing indoors too ...... |
