I had mopped my floors with an ordinary mop two days before trying out my new h2o mop x5 so didn't expect to get quite so much dirt!!! I have a large mucky dog so thought this would be a good idea so I could get the floors clean before she ran back through the wet and it works. There is a little water -what do people complaining think steam is made of- but it dries in minutes and doesn't need wiping dry!It is well worth buying the attachments to make best use of it and I have already used it to clean floors, kitchen cupboards, oven, shower and bathroom tiles and a part from needing some practice with the window cleaning attachment all seems to be going well. It does get heavy when using the hand held body and the mop handle could have been made more sturdy but I am getting used to this and each time I use it my house looks shinier and shinier. I love the product, would love it more if it came with a storage system for all the different bits,... It is easy to assemble with clear instructions and I used it first on my laminate kitchen floor. It did a brilliant job leaving it really clean and only slightly damp - not wet, as mentioned in previously reviews.I have since tried it on my cooker hood (which was overdue for a clean) and it lifted the caked on grease easily. For this job I used the duster attachment which was great as it produced the steam and then any excess was soaked up. Also used the small plastic bristle brush on the inside of my shower in all the nooks and crannies and it lifted off the dirt easily as it did with some grubby bathroom tiles. All in all a very good product which I would definitely recommend. As for excess water - it is a STEAMER - which by design uses water so no surprise there!! She reports the steamer is superb and so far does everything they advertise on TV.She had many years of blackened grout in the bathroom and she sent me before and after photos and there is a huge difference with only the very very oldest and deepest blackness not going completely but even so, they are only very slightly discoloured now and the rest is sparkling white once more and with very little effort. She has done the livingroom and kitchen floors and the next job is the windows and that is all in a few hours! We would, and will, recommend this cleaner to everyone. |
